We have once again partnered with Skijapan.com to offer a wide range of accommodation and discounted packages for all EMS Conference attendees. All types of accommodation in Rusutsu do sell out early so please contact SkiJapan.com ASAP (email@example.com) to obtain a quote.
We have created a short summary below of the types of accommodation available in Rusutsu and are always happy to answer any further questions you might have.
Rusutsu Resort Hotel and Convention
The North/ South wing of Rusutsu Resort is incredible and is our pick when we stay in Rustsu. It is a brilliant resort with large rooms, many activities offered (such as wave pool and newly opened Onsen), plenty of dining options, is truly ski in/ ski out and is the same location as the conference! There are too many features to talk about and therefore we recommend checking out the official resort website (http://www.hokkaido-rusutsu.com/en-gb/rooms).
SkiJapan.com have been able to negotiate an early bird special exclusive to conference participants which currently includes free lift passes. We have also been able to hold a number of rooms however these are filling up fast and we recommend obtaining a quote from ski japan.com (firstname.lastname@example.org) at your earliest convenience.
Rusutsu Resort, Travel Lodge
The Travel lodge is part of Rusutsu Resort and guests have access to all resort facilities. The lodge has a number of different room configuration and although dated, offers excellent value for money. Due to the excellent nightly rates it does fill up quickly so please ensure to book early. More information can be found via the following link:
Pensions are a great cheap option whilst travelling around Japan with the closest western comparison being that they are like really clean family run backpackers! Most pensions in the Rusutsu area are fairly large with options of single, twin or quadruple share rooms with private ensuite's and common communal spaces where delicious homemade meals are served. Pensions are excellent value for money with many within walking distance to the slopes or offering free shuttle services.
The following site has details on a number of pensions available in the Rusutsu area (http://snonski.com.au/-pension_yamada_rusutsu.htm) with many others also being listed on other hosting sites such as airbnb.com. Our advice is to book your room early as pensions in close proximity to Rusutsu are sure to fill up fast!
Each year new houses continue to be built in Rusutsu however these are still in short supply and fill up very fast. Houses can be booked directly through owners (recommend doing a google search to find all available) or if you require assistance the team at Skijapan.com are able to help (email@example.com).
The Westin Rusutsu Resort
The Westin Rusutsu Resort has recently been awarded Japan's Best Ski Hotel and it lives up to all expectations! Each room is spread over two levels with striking views over Rusutsu's slopes. It is located on the opposite side of the road to the North/South wing and the conference room can be accessed via a five minute monorail ride. The Westin rooms do come with a higher price tag however those looking for a luxurious hotel to stay whilst away will not be disappointed. Bookings can be made through SkiJapan.com (firstname.lastname@example.org) and more information found here: http://www.hokkaido-rusutsu.com/en-gb/accommodation-options/the-westin-rusutsu-resort
Each year we are always amazed by the accommodation options and deals people find in the surrounding area. If you want to keep your options open for where to board during the day or looking to save a considerable amount of money we recommend looking further afield to towns within a 30km radius of Rusutsu. Lots of accommodation in Hokkaido comes with free car hire or if you are staying in larger towns there are some public busses which do multiple trips a day to Rusutsu Resort.
